The seawater distribution system has an extensive history dating back to the early 1900s and has been expanded and improved over the past century. One of the key components that has developed over the years is the way Sea Water is stored throughout the Seawater system. All 7 tanks have started to develop compromised cracks, spalling, and some leakage in the cast in place concrete. The primary objectives of the “Seawater Storage Tank Repair Project” is to make necessary repairs to all 7 tanks and apply liners and coatings to specific tanks to prevent further damage and extend the useful life of the tanks. Due to the age of the tanks, some updated safety measure will be implemented.
