The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission will retain an engineering firm to perform final design for the Scranton Beltway Project in the Scranton, PA area. The proposed improvements consist of a new, directional (northbound to northbound and southbound to southbound) highway-speed connection between the Northeast Extension (I-476) and I-81 near the existing Turnpike interchange at Wyoming Valley (Milepost A-114.6). This project is in the Borough of Dupont and Pittston Township in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
