The Naval Supply (NAVSUP) Systems Command, Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville (FLCJ), FL intends to issue a sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Layher, Inc. Layher, Inc. will provide additional scaffolding which will be used in conjunction with the scaffolding contracted in N68836-18-P-0315. The additional items being requisitioned will allow the currently assembled scaffolding to be removed out of the dry dock in an emergent situation, such as hurricane evacuation. Layher’s scaffolding is the only scaffolding product that provides technical requirement and safety features which includes fall protection system built in. This unique and critical interlocking capability allows the assembled sections of the scaffolding to be lifted and removed in half the time as previously allowed.
