The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 10, 260 E University Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45219, intends to award a sole source purchase order contract to Satisloh North America Inc, N106W 13131 Bradley Way, Germantown, WI 53022, to upgrade the Indianapolis VA Medical Center Eyeglass Grinding Optical VFT Orbital 2 equipment. This acquisition is a follow on to the initial awards in 2012, 2014, and other upgrades through 2022. Upgrading this system has continued the past ten years and now includes the items listed in the description section. This procurement is in accordance with FAR Subpart 16.505(b)(2)(i)(B): Only one awardee is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services ordered are unique or NAICS Code 339115, Ophthalmic Goods Manufacturing. The size standard is 1000 employees. Peripheral Equipment for the installation and coupling with the conveyor as well as the IT software system applies to this procurement. Satisloh North America Inc is classified in the Dynamic Small Business Search (DSBS) as a small business concern. This follow-on procurement consists of procuring, installing, integration with software, removal, a trade-in value with the existing equipment originally installed in 2012 and 2014. This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1), to publicize the proposed contract action. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. No solicitation documents are available; however, any firm that believes it that they can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 24 hours from the date of publication of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in enough detail to demonstrate compliance. Information must be sent electronically to Contracting Officer [email protected]. Any responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government as to whether to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
