The Contractor shall furnish all of the remaining material, supplies, tools, equipment, labor and other services necessary for the construction and completion of the Sanford North WRF - Tertiary Filtration System Improvements that generally consists of, but is not limited to, the following elements: 1. Demolition and legal disposal of the “existing” DynaSand filtration system and associated equipment. 2. Demolition and legal disposal of the “existing” alum and polymer chemical tanks, structure, piping, pumps and associated infrastructure (traveling bridge filter area). 3. Modifications to the existing DynaSand filtration system structure to prepare it for the new Tertiary Disc Filtration System. 4. Installation of the new Tertiary Disc Filtration System and all associated infrastructure and appurtenances. 5. Installation of piping, valving and metering systems. 6. Electrical, controls, instrumentation and SCADA system improvements. 7. Site work, yard piping, walkways, stormwater management system improvements, plant internal roadway improvements, signage, landscaping, sodding, irrigation system, lighting and security systems, and miscellaneous appurtenances and ancillaries. 8. Manufacturer (PW Tech) turn-key installation of a second dewatering screw (drum) into each of the two existing dewatering screw presses in the Biosolids Dewatering Building, chemical feed skids, and all associated electrical, controls, instrumentation and SCADA modifications. It is further understood that the methods of accomplishing the work of this Project as shown on the Contract Drawings are general in nature and not intended to be complete or accurate in all details or respects with actual field conditions and the Contractor shall make such adjustments or departures as required and as approved by the Engineer and Owner to accomplish the intent. If the Contractor determines that departures are necessary from the Contract Documents, he shall submit such departures and the reasons therefore with shop drawings to the Engineer. Approved departures shall be made at no additional cost to the Owner.
