CITY OF GRESHAM SANDY BLVD: NE 181ST AVE TO NE 201ST AVE (GRESHAM) Bids due 2:00 pm, October 29, 2020 NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed bids for the SANDY BLVD: NE 181ST AVE TO NE 201ST AVE (GRESHAM) project will be received at the front desk in the main lobby of Gresham City Hall, 1333 N.W. Eastman Parkway, Gresham, Oregon 97030, addressed to the Project Manager, Will Jones, until October 29, 2020, at 2 p.m. local time. Late bids will be retained unopened. The bids will be publicly opened at 2 p.m in front of City Hall. The Engineer's Estimate for this project is $3,500,000 to $4,000,000. The character of the work is ROADWAY WIDENING, SIDEWALK INSTALLATION, ADA RAMP INSTALLA TION/REPLACEMENT, STORM INFRA STRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS, TRAFFIC SIGNAL MODIFICATION. The Project Manager for this project is Will Jones, Department of Environmental Services 503-618-2686, will.jones@gresh amoregon.gov. PREQUALIFICATION: Bidders must be prequalified by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) for the work cate gories listed for this project. The prequali fication application must be filed with and received by ODOT at least 10 calendar days prior to bid opening. The prequalifi cation work and categories required for this project are the combination of: 1.) EARTHWORK AND DRAINAGE, and 2.) ASPHALT CONCRETE PAVING AND OILING. Additional information regarding prequalification is available at the following internet address: https://www.oregon.gov/ODOT/Business/Procurement/Pages/Bid_Award.aspx The major quantities of work involved in this project are: QUANTITY, MEASUREMENT, ITEM 2,000 Cubic Yards, Embankment 60,000 Square Feet, Sidewalk 760 Feet, 12" Storm Pipe Installation 117 Feet, 54" Storm Pipe Installation 4,710 Tons, Asphalt Concrete Pavement 8,000 Tons, Aggregate Base 3 Each, Traffic Signal Modifications 600 Square Feet, MSE Retaining Wall The project completion date is August 16, 2021. Contract terms, Plans, Addenda, Conditions and Specifications may be reviewed at the office of the Department of Environmental Services at Gresham City Hall. Paper copies may be obtained from the Department of Environmental Services by paying a non-refundable fee of $25 for each set of Contract Documents requested. If ordered by mail, add a $5 processing and mailing charge. This Project is for a public work and is subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870, the Oregon Prevailing Wage Law. This project is a Federal Aid project and subject to prevailing wage rate require ments under the Davis-Bacon Act (40 U.S.C. 3141 et seq.). Each worker in each trade or occupation that the contractor, subcontractor, or other person who is a party to the contract uses in performing all or part of the contract, must be paid not less than the higher of the applicable state or federal prevailing rate of wage. The applicable state or federal prevailing wage rate for this project shall be the most current wage rates published before the date of bid opening. All federally funded projects have "BUY AMERICA" requirements. The contractor shall be required to perform at least 30% of the awarded contract amount work from his own forces. This project contains a 12% DBE goal and 660 OJT reimbursable hours. The project shall be completed by August 16, 2021. The City of Gresham is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
