The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with UNX INDUSTRIES INC.      This requirement is for Laundering Chemical Services at the Richmond VAMC, 1201 Broad Rock Blvd, Richmond, VA 23249. The services must meet the following: Maintenance and installation (if needed) of additional dispensing equipment necessary to deliver the correct chemical formulas to the following equipment, which includes, but not limited to the (1) Milnor 6 pocket Continues Batch Washer, (2) Milinor 600LB extractor Washer and (3) Milnor 100lb washer. Perform and record the following monthly: a. Water Softness b. Chlorine Strength c. Wash titrations verifying each formula on each machine d. pH testing of washed linens Contractor will be responsible for pickup and disposal of empty chemical drums. A minimum quantity of 30 drums will be required for pickup and disposal. Contractor will coordinate the pickup and disposal of the drums. The contractor will continue to supply, on a loan-free basis, the use of automated dispensing systems, specifically (1) Deltatron injection system for the conventional washers, and (1) Tunneltron injection system for the tunnel washer. The contractor shall provide documentation of all chemical formulas for linen classifications in a book to be used to verify formulas on a random basis. The contractor is expected to supply all chemicals and maintain a modern chemical delivery system that provides proof of delivery to each washer and can be monitored online. The chemicals included in this SOW are as follows: Alkali Builder Detergent Chlorine Bleach Oxygen Bleach Peracetic Acid Sour Softener Period of performance will be for the period 02/28/2025 02/27/2026 with 3 option years.      Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) soliciting from a single source.      This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any business that believes it can meet these requirements and possesses relevant past experience and expertise may give written notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement.
