Special Notice of Intent to Sole Source
This is a SPECIAL NOTICE ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. The Department of Veteran Affairs, VISN 2 Network Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract for the Bath VA Medical Center. This proposed contract action is for a service in which the Government intends to award a Base Period plus four (4) Option Periods, firm fixed price, indefinite quantity indefinite delivery contract with Steuben County Landfill, 5632 Turnpike Rd, Bath NY 14810 under the authority Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1 (a)(2), only one responsible source.

Purpose and Objectives:
The intent of this Special Notice is to identify potential offerors capable of providing a landfill within Steuben County where the BATH VAMC can dispose of their regular waste.
Special Tasks:
Garbage and trash to include, but not limited to:
Miscellaneous trash, combustible and noncombustible materials such as paper, cartons, glass and plastic
General kitchen scraps
Construction debris
Disposal of infectious waste and hazardous waste is excluded
Vendor shall provide weight tickets for each date of disposal with invoice.
Dump site shall be located within Steuben County and be listed with NY Department of Environmental Conservation as an active Municipal Solid Waste Landfill.
Estimated tonnage per year is 360 tons.
Response:
Responses to this Special Notice should be able to demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to provide the VA Bath Medical Center an active MSW located in Steuben County.
THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to provide the requirements listed above. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by June 10 ,2019 at 10:00 a.m. (ET). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to
