The National Emergency Training Center (NETC) located in Emmitsburg, MD has a requirement for Professional Armed Security Guard Services. The contractor shall provide armed security guard service coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year with a mandatory requirement that at least one officer/guard per shift holds a current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification. The contractor shall furnish all management, supervision, training, personnel, relief, administrative support and equipment necessary to successfully complete all requirements. The resulting contract will have a Base Year period followed by four (4) one-year option periods. Award of a hybrid (firm-fixed price/labor hour) contract is contemplated. The firm fixed price portion of the contract will be for the regular monthly security services and the labor hour portion will be a fixed hourly rate for Temporary Additional Services (TAS) when required. It is anticipated that the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on or about August 1, 2005, with proposals due 30 days after the release date of the RFP. The RFP will only be provided electronically through FedBizOpps (FBO) web page as discussed below.
