THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT CORRECT BUT THE SOFTWARE REQUIRES A DATE TO ENABLE THIS
POSTING. Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in
Ottawa, Canada, will launch, via the Internet, a solicitation to require operation and management of Local Guard
Services for the Embassy in Ottawa, Canada in order to prevent unauthorized access, protect life, maintain order, deter
criminal attacks against employees, dependents and property and terrorist acts against all US assets and prevent
damages to Government property. The contractor shall furnish managerial, administrative and direct labor personnel to
accomplish all work as required in the contract. The estimated number of hours for guards is 68,930 per year. These
requirements may change depending on funding availability in forth coming periods. Anticipated performance is for one
base period and four one-year periods at the option of the Government. Major duties and responsibilities are to perform
access control to limit entry to only authorized personnel or visitors, the operation of walk-through metal detectors,
hand-held detectors and special monitoring devices. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be
