Provide all labor, supervision, equipment and material necessary to perform all lawn care services at the National Weather Service, 10009 General Mahone Highway, Wakefield, VA. The work area covered by the specifications is approximately 5 acres, parts of which are occupied by buildings, roads, walks, and other paved surfaces. Services required under this contract include, but are not limited to: mowing, edging, pruning, fertilizing, weed control, and repairing erosion damage. The Contractor shall also be required to purchase and/or replace seasonal flowers (Spring/Fall) for planting beds. Period of Performance will be January 1, 2003 through September 30, 2003 with four one-year options. IT IS MANDATORY THAT PROSPECTIVE VENDORS ATTEND THE SITE VISIT WHICH IS SCHEDULED FOR DECEMBER 4, 2002 AT 10:00 A.M. OFFERS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED FROM FIRMS THAT ATTEND THE SITE VISIT. AN OFFER SUBMITTED BY A FIRM THAT DID NOT ATTEND THE SITE VISIT WILL BE REJECTED AS NONRESPONSIVE. The proposed contract is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. A copy of the solicitation shall be attached as a downloadable Word file on or about November 27, 2002. Offers received by December 13, 2002 will be considered for award. Award will be made on or about December 20, 2002. Numbered Note 1 applies.
