The Southwest Health Care Network Consolidated Contracting Activity (VISN 18) has a requirement for bio-hazardous waste removal services, chemotherapy waste removal services, and sharps container management. Contractor shall provide the services to collect, manifest, remove, and dispose of bio-hazard medical waste, chemotherapy waste and manage the waste from sharps containers for the Department of Veteran Affairs, VISN 18 (Southwest Health Care Network) Facilities, to include: the Southern AZ VA Health Care System in Tucson, AZ; the Carl T. Hayden VA Health Care System in Phoenix, AZ; the Northern AZ VA health Care System in Prescott, AZ; the West Texas VA Health Care System in Big Spring, TX; the El Paso VA Health Care System in El Paso, TX; the New Mexico VA Health Care System in Albuquerque, NM; and several Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, vehicles, containers and materials incidental to the collection and disposal of bio-hazardous medical waste, chemotherapy waste, and sharps management from the schedule and designated pickup points. The Contractor shall possess all licenses and permits required to provide the services in accordance with Federal, state, and local regulations. This is s Total Small Business Set-Aside procurement and the NAICS for this procurement is 562112 with a Small Business Size Standard of $11.5 million. The solicitation will be released on or about January 19, 2007 and closed about 30 days thereafter. The solicitation will be available electronically at FEDBIZOPPS (FBO) http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Any amendments will be available at the same URL and offerors shall be responsible for obtaining all amendments. Electronic offers will NOT be accepted. All responsible Small Business Sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered. The Government may elect to issue a multi-award Contract from this solicitation. Any questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted in writing.
