Solicitation N00421-14-T-0268 is issued as a synopsis/solicitation. The Government intends to purchase on a Firm Fixed-Price basis and to solicit/negotiate the proposed purchase order on Sole Source basis with Delta Gear Inc., under the authority of FAR Part 12, FAR Part 13, and 52.219-6 Notice of Total Small Business set-a-side. The requirement is to manufacture Ryder Test Gears. Each pair of Ryder gears consists of a "narrow" gear conforming to Navy specification drawing number NAPC 930416, and a "wide" gear conforming to Navy specification drawing number NAPC 930417 with the stipulation that gear involute profiles equal "zero". All gears must also conform to the Material and Heat Treat Specification Numbers 584362 & 65321 for Ryder Test Gears.
