PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate the existing pavement on • Truxtun Avenue from Chester Avenue to “T” Street, and • Panama Lane from Monitor Street to Union Avenue. THE WORK CONSISTS OF, in general, rehabilitating the asphalt concrete pavement, adjusting manhole and monument covers, and placing striping, pavement markings and traffic signal detector loops. The funding for these projects will be through the Regional Surface Transportation Program (RSTP) and Local Funds. Rehabilitation methods being considered for these projects include full depth reconstruction and pavement resurfacing. General contractors interested in submitting a construction bid for this project must first submit a Responsibility Statement and Questionnaire as described in this document. ENGINEER’S ESTIMATE: two contracts in the range of $1,400,000 to $1,900,000 per contract.
