THE WORK CONSISTS OF, in general, approximately 3700 linear feet of asphalt concrete (ac) pavement; It is anticipated that the base bid will include a 36-foot wide ac pavement section to accommodate two, 12-foot wide lanes and two, 6-foot shoulders; the additive alternate bid will include a 24-foot wide ac pavement section to accommodate two 12-foot wide lanes. The work will include a prefabricated reinforced concrete arched bridge with an anticipated span of 42 feet, width of 125 feet, and a clearance height of 11 feet; 3700 linear feet of 16-inch domestic water pipeline; a traffic signal modification in Caltrans right of way; and concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalk at the bridge crossing and the Mohawk Street/Rosedale Highway intersection. Contractors may discuss the Responsibility Statement and Questionnaire and Contract Documents, as well as project details with the City’s Design Engineer, Arnold Ramming, via email at [email protected]. In preparing their submittal of a Responsibility Statement and Questionnaire, contractors shall only rely upon the written documents issued for this project. The City will only receive construction bids from general contractors who have been approved to be on the Final Bidders List for this project. General contractors interested in submitting a construction bid for this project must first submit a Responsibility Statement and Questionnaire as described in this document. Firms interested in submitting bids as a subcontractor or material supplier do not need to submit a Responsibility Statement and Questionnaire.
