The National Park Service, Department of the Interior, anticipates issuing a solicitation for the following project. This is a pre-solicitation notice only and does not constitute a solicitation. Accordingly, no response is due at this time, nor will any questions of a technical or contractual nature be answered. Those questions will only be answered via an amendment to the solicitation, once it is issued. Specific instructions on submitting proposals will be contained in the solicitation documents, It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about March 16, 2020. The entire solicitation package, including all attachments, will be available electronically at www.FBO.GOV. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. PROJECT SCOPE: Project shall consist of ceramic tile repair work, and preventative maintenance to San Francisco Maritime Museum¿s 3rd and 4th floor observations decks. Tasks that will be performed include: Removing, and replacing approximately 280 broken terracotta tiles, if necessary the underlying mortar bed will be repaired too. Removing and replacing 800-900 square feet of failing grout. Removing and replacing 1,227 linear feet of expansion joint. Once repairs are completed the 3rd and 4th floor observation decks will be cleaned and the approximately 9000 square feet of tile and grout will be sealed. Contractor must be licensed by CLSB in the applicable trade classification (B, C, C-39). Place of Performance: SAN FRANCISCO MARITIME NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK, San Francisco County, California. Per FAR 52.228-13, ALTERNATIVE PAYMENT PROTECTIONS ARE REQUIRED ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: In accordance with FAR 36.204, the project magnitude is estimated to be between $100,000 & $250,000. This announcement does not constitute the solicitation. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation. The Government will not pay for any costs incurred related to the site visit and/or in responding to this announcement.
