The intent of this construction contract is to provide for road repairs of Forest Road FSR 20, Mt Loop – FSR 49, Sloan Creek Road, and FSR 22 S. Side Sauk on the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest (Darrington Ranger District). Road fill slope repairs with Gabion baskets, and rock riprap, culvert installation, drainage repairs. Work is planned to start July 28, 2009. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportaion and supplies, and perform all work required to repair the road according to the drawings and specifications of the contract. The Contractor shall assume all risk, loss, damage, or expense arising out of prosecution of the work, except as otherwise provided in the contract. The project is located on Forest Roads 20, 49, and 22, on the Darrington Ranger District. Travel south of Darrington Washington on the Mt Loop Highway to MP 44.6 and the intersection of FSR 22 for this work area. To access the work on FSR 20 and 49 proceed south on the Mt Loop Highway and to the project area along the Mt Loop road and onto FSR 49 for the remainder of the work. A District map showing the road system is available for viewing at the district office. This project is 100% set aside HubZone small business. The estimated start work date is late July 27, 2009 with contract duration of about 90 days.
