SOURCES SOUGHT - This is a Sources Sought only. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District intends to issue procurement for The Richard B. Russell Powerhouse and its adjacent switchyard on the Savannah River. The work to be performed under this Contract consists of providing the labor, equipment, and materials to replace the existing switchyard equipment at the Richard B. Russell Powerhouse. The work includes electrical work and incidental related work including, but not limited to, the following:
•a. Removal and disposal of existing oil circuit breakers, including oil.
•b. Removal and disposal of two oil storage tanks and all buried oil piping in switchyard.
•c. Installation of new, Government-furnished SF6 circuit breakers including replacement of existing control cables in ductbank between the switchyard and the Main & Auxiliary Switchboards in the powerhouse.
•d. Any required modifications to bus work to accommodate the new breakers.
•e. Replacement of cabling between the breakers and the switchyard panels.
•f. Ensuring that Kirk Key Interlock system is properly coordinated.
•g. Replace weatherproof phone in the switchyard, including cable to the powerhouse.
•h. Testing of grounding connections at each breaker.
•i. Infrared scan of the completed switchyard.
•j. Test of overall ground mat resistance of the completed switchyard.
•k. Providing as-built corrections to contract drawings, including preparation of full panel wiring diagrams of Main and Auxiliary Switchboard panels affected by this work
