The work consists of removal and replacement of approximately 35 linear feet of 121.5-inch diameter steel pipe including excavating an access portal, removing portions of existing steel pipeline, installing Contractor-furnished pipe, welding, cement mortar lining; repairs to damaged existing mortar lining, installing Metropolitan-furnished 20-inch diameter valve, controlling traffic, abating of hazardous materials, and other appurtenant work as specified and shown on the drawings.
