The Board of Park Commissioners of the Cleveland Metropolitan Park District ("Cleveland Metroparks") is soliciting qualifications from qualified firms interested in RFQu #6463: Cleveland Metroparks Rhinoceros Bull Barn Package - Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. This Request for Qualifications is being requested and will be taken to the Request for Proposals stage ONLY IN THE EVENT that Cleveland Metroparks Bid No. 6456, which is due November 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., does not result in a bid that Cleveland Metroparks deems acceptable or is able to award. Any interested firm, assuming that the minimum qualifications are met, may submit a bid for Bid No. 6456 AND also submit a statement of qualifications for RFQu #6463. Conversely, any interested firm could submit for either Bid No. 6456 or RFQu# 6463, at their election. The Project generally includes, but is not limited to, construction of a one-story Rhinoceros Bull Barn, with two rhinoceros holding stalls, a transfer crate loading/unloading area, a Storage room, and a Mechanical room. The barn will have Zoo equipment and rhinoceros’ access via insulated overhead coiling doors. The project scope will include rhinoceros enrichment features, a shade structure with heat and water shower, containment and hydraulic gate systems, and rock lined planter beds within a newly constructed habitat.
