The City desires to contract with a licensed architect and engineering team (Design Professional) to provide professional design services for the Nampa Rec Center Expansion Project. The City expects that the chosen Design Professional will provide design services to include, but not be limited to architectural; civil engineering; landscape design; mechanical engineering; structural and electrical engineering; fire suppression and alarm design. The Design Professional shall ensure that all drawings and engineering comply with all local and State building codes and statutes, and that a complete set of construction documents are available for use by general contractors and subcontractors. The Design Professional will provide the City of Nampa with an updated AutoCAD file at the completion of Construction Documents. The Design Professional will be expected to do an existing site review prior to the start of Schematic Design for all components of the project to ensure full integration with existing systems. The project is located at 131 Constitution Way, Nampa ID 83686. The scope of work includes the expansion on the south façade of the existing building. The approximate area is a 15,000 square feet addition. There will be new door penetrations into the exterior of the existing building and the expansion will require modifications to the existing parking lot, driveway, and landscaping. The purpose of the project is to add new recreational space for gymnastics, work out room(s), expand the current weight room and create new access points to the existing racquet ball rooms. There will be modifications made within existing spaces as well. The Design Professional will be expected to do a full code analysis on both the existing building and the addition. It is anticipated that 2-hour fire wall will be required. Once selected, the Design Professional will develop a Master Schedule to provide a detailed Project sequence and timeline for the Project. The Master Schedule shall include probable project costs, divided into specification section format to be used by the City. The master schedule should provide an estimated timeline of design and construction milestones. Final Deliverables should include, at minimum: Site Plan Drawings Floor Plan Drawings Elevation Drawings (Interior and Exterior) Schedules (Door, Window, Finish, etc.) Structural Drawings Mechanical Drawings Plumbing Drawings Electrical Drawings Landscape Drawings Civil Drawings Written Specifications of all disciplines Opinion of Probable Construction Costs (At the conclusion of Schematic Design and at the conclusion of Design Development Exterior 3-D model rendering 1
