The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is considering issuing a solicitation to provide Workers' Compensation Insurance as required by statutorily mandated Defense Base Act (DBA), beginning in April/May 2015. USAID anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed Price contract at no cost to the government with preset fees between the insured and the insurer, with two (2) base years with three (3) one year option periods for this requirement. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort will be 524210 - Insurance Agencies and Brokerages.
This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. It must not be construed as an obligation on the part of the USAID. The purpose of this RFI is to determine the current capacity and interest of qualified insurers to meet this potential Statement of Work as described in the attached document.
The Government does not intend to make an award on the basis of this notice and will not reimburse the costs incurred by interested parties in providing the information requested herein. Companies/Organizations expressing an interest in this work are encouraged to submit a statement of capabilities as detailed in the attached document. Any inquiries regarding this notice will not be entertained. Only written capability statements will be accepted. All capability statements must be submitted by e-mail to: Abdulaziz Yousuf at [email protected] and Rukmal Perera at [email protected] no later than Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at 4:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. Please reference "DBA Insurance" in the subject line of the email.
All data received in response to this RFI marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be fully protected from release outside the Government. Since this is a RFI announcement, no debrief, evaluation letters, or responses to questions, will be issued to the participants.
Thank you for participating in the DBA insurance program.
