SpectraMax M5 - Molecular Devices SpectraMax M5 Microplate/Cuvette Reader (90V to 240V) with current version of SoftMax Pro Software           Qty 1

  1. The SpectraMax® M5 is a stand-alone unit which does NOT require a connection to the internet or access to the “Cloud” for operation.
  2. The SpectraMax® M5 optical system uses the patented dual scanning monochromators so you can determine optimal excitation and emission settings, resulting in assay performance similar to that of dedicated single-mode readers.
  3. The SpectraMax® M5 has the capability to measure the depth (optical pathlength) of samples with no temperature dependency using the patented PathCheck® Sensor technology. It automatically normalizes absorbance readings to 1 cm, eliminating the need for standard curves.
  4. The SpectraMax® M5 has the ability to read in the following: ABS, FL, FRET, LUM, TRF, TR-FRET, FP in microplates and up to 64 – 2ul samples.  And the ability to read ABS, FL, FRET & LUM in: Microplates, 12x75mm tubes, cuvettes, microcuvettes, ultra-microcuvettes and up to 64 – 2ul samples.
  5. The SpectraMax® M5 has the unique SpectraDrop™ Micro- Volume Microplate offers the highest throughput solution for low volume measurement available on the market today.
  6. The SpectraMax® M5 utilizes a single monochromator design for UV/VIS Absorbance.
  7. The SpectraMax® M5 has the StakMax® Microplate Stacker for walk-away automation. The stacker can hold up to 50 plates and can be configured to include a barcode reader.
  8. The SpectraMax® M5 has the patented AutoPMT optimization, which adjusts the fluorescence detector to each sample well's concentration and normalizes the raw data, extending the dynamic range of assays.
  9. The SpectraMax® M5 can use the SpectraTest® ABS1, FL1, and LM1 Validation Plates for hardware validation of absorbance, fluorescence, and luminescence modes.
  10. The SpectraMax® M5 can read up to 4 wavelength pairs in one protocol for endpoint and kinetic measurements, allowing for fast setup of FRET and TR-FRET assays.
  11. The SpectraMax® M5 utilizes a dedicated luminescence photomultiplier tube (PMT), providing the user the maximum signal and lowest background possible for glow luminescence reporter gene assays.
  12. The SpectraMax® M5 uses the patented and proprietary PathCheck® Pathlength Measurement Technology: the only temperature independent pathlength correction for microplates.
  13. The SpectraMax® M5 detection modes include: UV-Visible Absorbance (Abs), Fluorescence Intensity (FI), Luminescence (Lum), Time-Resolved Fluorescence (TRF) and Fluorescence Polarization (FP).
  14. The SpectraMax® M5 uses elliptical mirrors instead of lenses for maximum transmission with minimal wavelength distortion.
  15. The SpectraMax® M5 has angled emission beam improves signal-to-noise, especially in narrow Stokes shift fluorophores, by reducing stray light.
  16. The SpectraMax® M5 reference diodes enable elimination of measurement noise due to slight fluctuations in excitation light intensity.
  17. The SpectraMax® M5 SoftMax Pro Software features over 140 ready-to-use protocols for data acquisition, analysis and management capabilities, allowing cross plate analysis, custom calculations, and personalized reporting.
