The Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy, Inc. ("AURA"), on behalf of the Kitt Peak National Observatory, is soliciting proposals from interested water systems contractors that have experience with small water treatment facilities to renovate the Kitt Peak National Observatory Water System Plant. To facilitate this work, AURA is seeking a water systems contractor to renovate the water system per the plans and specifications prepared by Engineering and Environmental Consultants, Inc. (EEC). This project is being funded under the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act.

Parties interested in reviewing the project requirements may receive the request for bid documentation by contacting Deborah Gronet, Subaward and Contracts Officer, for AURA at [email protected] and requesting a copy of RFB-N003210 for the Kitt Peak National Observatory Water System Renovation Project. Parties requesting the RFB must provide their name, physical mailing address, telephone and fax numbers, and the name and e-mail address of a contact person.

Interested parties should be aware that there are two mandatory pre-bid/site visit meetings scheduled for this project at the Kitt Peak National Observatory. To be eligible to bid on this project, a Bidder must attend one of these meetings. The first mandatory pre-bid meeting/site visit is scheduled for 10:30 o'clock A.M. on Tuesday, December 7, 2010. The second mandatory pre-bid meeting/site visit is scheduled for 10:30 o'clock A.M. on Thursday, December 9, 2010.
