1. BUTLER COUNTY LOADOUT AMD PROJECT Butler County To access the site from Morgantown KY, take KY 70 approximately 4.0 miles traveling southwest until reaching KY 1117. Turn right on KY 1117 and travel approximately 3.8 miles until reach a gravel road on the right. Travel approximately 0.5 miles until entering the site. Site coordinates: 3714'4.26"N 8647'5.77"W The AMD project consist of an abandoned coal load out area used to load coal onto barges. Coal refuse is acidic and the site is unable to support vegetation. The abatement plan is to "flip and cover"; soil materials (capable of supporting vegetation) existing beneath the coal refuse will be excavated and place over the coal refuse. This will be done under the Earthwork bid item. Domestic, Industrial, & Mining Debris disposal is setup to properly dispose of existing items as described in the plans. Erosions control blanket and silt fence are setup for sediment control. Seedbed preparation, seed, fertilizer, mulch, & ag lime is setup to establish vegetation. Dense grade aggregate and roadway stone is setup for access.
