The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, New Jersey intends to enter into a limited-source competition with proposals accepted only from the following contractors: Precision Fabricators of 80 Johnson Dr., Stuarts Draft VA; Penn State Tool & Die of 7590 Route 30, North Huntingdon, PA; and The Entwistle Company of Bigelow Str., Hudson MA. NAVAIR Lakehurst has a requirement for Retractable Sheaves for CVN 78 AAG (Advanced Arresting Gear) in support of the Aircraft Launching and Recovery Program for Part 3491AS0500-2 (quantity 4) and Part 3491AS0500-3 (quantity 4). AAG is a Critical Safety Item (CSI) and as such first Article Testing is required for both parts 3491AS0500-2 and 3491AS0500-3. The contractor shall supply all material equipment and consumable supplies to manufacture in its entirety 4 each p/n 3491AS0500-2 and 4 each p/n 3491AS0500-3 Retractable Sheave Assemblies in accordance with NAVAIRSYSCOM drawings and specifications. This procurement contains Technical Data subject to Export Control Laws. The Retractable Sheave for CVN 78 AAG is a Critical Safety Item (CSI). The basic contract will be a firm fixed price contract.
