This is a Request for Information to obtain potential sources for an upcoming procurement by the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Subsistence Supply Chain. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research for food manufacturing retorts. This is not a request for proposals, quotations or bids. Responses to this announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Information provided will be considered proprietary and will not be shared. The food retorts must meet the following technical specifications:

Vessel Specifications:

Shell Diameter: 1400mm
Holding Capacity: 6 or 7 carts
Process: Steam Water Spray with Air Overpressure (no agitation)
Control System: Capable of utilizing Allpax "Monitor" with GFE utilization tracking capability
Material: [316] stainless steel
Door Configuration: Single Door with machine controlled door opening mechanism
Material Handling: Powered retort cart loading and unloading
Automation Platform: Allen Bradley

Additional Equipment Requirements:

Material Handling: 18 or 21 retort cart bottoms, 18 or 21 carts worth of retort trays and 3 cart dollies
Spare Parts: standard spare parts kit
