The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Office of WorkLife and Benefits Programs (OWLBP) soliciting proposals for retirement seminar presentation services in support of the DOL employees, Washington D.C. The purpose of this training is to prepare DOL employees from the beginning of their careers to the end of their careers to be engaged in their retirement and financial planning and to have the information required to position them to be successful in this planning. This is an Open Market requirement.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The Contractor shall provide the materials, supplies and instructors (except as otherwise provided) in accordance with the attached Statement of Work (SOW). The three (3) retirement seminar categories are:
Part A. The Early Retirement Seminars are for DOL Employees with less than ten (10) years of Federal service. This 1 1/2-day seminar is designed to show new employees how to successfully plan for their future.
Part B. Mid-Career/Financial Planning Retirement Seminars are offered to DOL employees with 10-20 years of service. This two (2) day seminar is designed to show mid-career employees how to successfully plan for their financial future, and accumulate a comfortable financial reserves for their retirement years using effective financial planning skills.
Part C. Pre-Retirement Seminars will be offered for Department of Labor employees who are eligible for retirement within five (5) years of taking the seminar. This seminar consists of 3 1/2 full days of information pertaining to retirement benefits, health and life insurance, financial planning, social security benefits, estate planning, lifetime fitness and health, income tax planning, and life after retirement.
DOL intends to award multiple Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) for a maximum of sixty (60) months. The anticipated award dated is November 18, 2008.
