The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, RI intends to place on a Sole Source basis, a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) purchase order to Reson, Inc., 100 Lopez Rd. Goleta, CA, for the purchase of the following item:
CLIN 0001 - Qty (36) each, of Reson, Inc. P/N PC4047, DT-713 Sonar Hydrophone assembly, P/N 53711-7335227-1.
Required delivery is 16 weeks after award, FOB Destination Naval Station Newport, Newport, RI 02841. Reson, Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the custom Sonar Hydrophone designed for use in monitoring the propulsor system on the Virginia class submarines. The operating and physical specifications of the RESON hydrophone are uniquely customized for the Virginia Platform. Reson designed the hydrophone assembly with a SEACON Wet Mating Connector to comply with existing system mating requirements. The performance, size, and internal design are customized for the Virginia Platform and the AN/BQQ-10 V4 System. This design is proprietary to Reson, Inc.
