The Defense Logistics Agency/DSCR intends to procure a Resistance Spot Welder, Vertical Press Type, Three Phase, for use at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, Virginia.
Detailed specifications will be available only after the solicitation opening on or around March 16, 2010.
New equipment only.
Contractor shall be responsible for delivery, installation, and training.
QAP 208 applies to this requirement.
This requirement is a 100% Small-Business Set-Aside, requiring that the machine be manufactured domestically by a small business source. The solicitation will be issued under Full and Open Competitive procedures (after Exclusion of [large] Sources), in accordance with a competitive technical package. The award will be made as a firm, fixed-price contract. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. Anticipated delivery timeframe is 180 days.
FOB at Destination and Inspection/Acceptance at Destination.

The solicitation issue date is anticipated to be March 16, 2010 with a closing date of April 16, 2010. A paper copy of the solicitation will not be available to requestors.
