The City of Sunrise is seeking a qualified Florida Certified General Contractor with prior experience in rehabilitation of homes with grant funding such as: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program, to provide impact resistant windows and door, electrical work, walkway repair. Additional work includes non-impact sliding door replacement, impact resistant sliding glass door, and accordion hurricane shutters as “add alternates”. Applicable areas of rehabilitation for the City’s Housing Rehabilitation programs are listed, in order of priority, as follows: correct code violations, home hardening, address health and safety issues, electrical, plumbing, and other structural items. Additional items may be included on rehabilitation projects if funds are available after completing all required repairs listed above.
