The Lakeshore SWAF has a design treatment capacity of 2 MGD utilizing onsite stormwater ponds as water sources. The current process is set up to remove and treat water from the stormwater ponds to augment the TWA reuse water supply. The Lakeshore SWAF consist of a horizontal well within the west stormwater pond that is connected to an intake pump station (IPS). The IPS pumps raw stormwater to two (2) Aqua-Aerobic cloth-media filters to remove TSS before addition of chlorine for high-level disinfection to meet RW standards. Following filtration, filtered water flows into a circular chlorine contact chamber for high level disinfection before being pumped by the transfer pumps to a 0.5-MG RW ground storage tank. High service pumps transfer the reused water from the ground storage tank to TWA transmission and distribution system. One of the existing cloth media filters will be relocated to the Sandhill Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) and the other filter will be relocated to the Harmony WRF. The current water-use permit (WUP) allows the withdrawal of water from the storm water ponds when the water level in the pond is at and above 56 feet NAVD88. When the pond water level drops below this elevation, t water cannot be withdrawn from the storm water ponds.
