CITY OF BULLHEAD CITY NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS RFQ No. 2020-00000196 PATRIOTIC THEMED MURAL DUE DATE: October 30, 2020 AT 5:00 P.M. LOCAL AZ TIME SUBMITTAL LOCATION: City of Bullhead City Clerk’s Office, 2355 Trane Road, Bullhead City, Arizona 86442 DIRECT QUESTIONS TO: Sheila Betts, Administrative Analyst (928) 763-0122 or [email protected] Notice is hereby given that the City of Bullhead City (“City”) is hereby issuing a Notice of Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) and conducting a competitive process to retain an artist or artist(s) with the knowledge and experience to submit qualifications for the design and implementation of a public art project with a USA patriotic theme and that replaces an existing mural on a block wall located at 1540 Loma Vista Road, Bullhead City, Arizona. See the Attachment to this solicitation for a full description of the location of the current 135 foot mural. The current mural is included only for reference. The proposal does not need to copy the current content. The City invites interested artist(s) to submit a written Statement of Qualifications (“SOQ”) relating to this solicitation. A screening committee will evaluate artist(s) qualifications and experience with similar projects. The artist(s) determined to be best qualified will then be invited to enter into an agreement to complete the mural. A copy of this solicitation may also be picked up during regular business hours at the City Manager’s Office, 2355 Trane Road, Bullhead City, Arizona 86442. Respondents are invited to review the information and to submit their SOQ in accordance with the criteria established within this RFQ. Questions regarding the substance of this RFQ must be in writing by fax or email and received by Sheila Betts no later than 5:00 p.m. October 21, 2020. Questions may then be responded to by written amendment to this document. Oral statements or instructions do not constitute an amendment to the RFQ. The City reserves the right to reject any or all submittals, or to withhold the award for any reason it may determine, and to waive or not to waive any informalities in any submittal.
