The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to award a firm-fixed price contract on a non-competitive basis with L-3 Communications of Sylmar, CA for the purchase of additional support equipment associated with Helicopter Long Range Active Sonar (HELRAS). The equipment is being procured in support of the Brazil Navy S70B aircraft.

The Government intends to procure the above item under the authority of 10 USC 3204 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not to request for competitive proposals: however the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government, not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
