This public announcement is being issued in accordance wth section 3.2.1.3-12 of the Federal Aviation Administration Acquisition Management System (FAA AMS). Industry is hereby informed that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking the commercial availability of a "direct-to-pilot" Runway Inucrsion Prevention system(s) for small to medium airports where existing surveillance technologies are not availabe, The FAA may consider awarding multiple contracts in the case that more than one candiate is determined to be qualified.
