The United States Coast Guard (USCG), Shore Infrastructure Logistics Center (SILC), Norfolk, is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to gather information on alternatives to establish and operate a new full-service cafeteria facility located within the future home of the Sector/Air Station Corpus Christi in Corpus Christi, Texas. This RFI is for information only; no award will be made off of this RFI. This RFI is only intended to solicit information from industry to support and analyze an acquisition approach and determine interest and current capabilities of vendor that match the desired outcome.
The government will provide the facility, equipment, and associated energy costs in the facility; and is seeking a vendor to provide food items at a reasonable reduced cost in exchange for use of the facility, equipment and associated energy costs. A desired outcome of this RFI is to develop an out of the box, cost effective approach to the USCG operating a galley in the newly established location. Engaging industry to assist with potential solutions will enable USCG to realize the goal of a fully operational Café/Bistro, Light Refreshments Provider, and Catering Services Provider. Essentially, the Coast Guard is looking for expressions of interest to indicate how food services can best be provided to its employees and authorized visitors. The Coast Guard projected start date on or about 1 October 2017.
The Coast Guard requests information from vendors interested in providing cafeteria OR other food services such as, breakfast and lunch cafe, catering, or other innovative services at the government provided facility at Sector/Air Station Corpus Christi. The cafeteria will service the 480 employees and authorized visitors. The facility will be located near 353 Pinson Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas 78406.
