OVERVIEW

This is a Request for Information RFI (THIS IS NOT AN RFP OR RFQ) to identify potential firms/contractors/vendors that can provide equipment for the TRANSAS NaviSailor 3100 Navigation System as described below.

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) uses the TRANSAS NaviSailor 3100 Navigation System onboard Cutters and Vessels for the many missions we support. The Command, Control, and Communication Engineering Center (C3CEN) in Portsmouth, Virginia provides support for the TRANSAS NaviSailor 3100 equipment installed on Cutters and Vessels. It is C3CEN's goal to support our assets by being able to acquire TRANSAS NaviSailor 3100 Navigation System Parts.

SPECIFICATIONS

The following TRANSAS parts are required.

1. TRANSAS ES4 Keyboard/Trackball Assembly.

INFORMATION SOUGHT

The following information is sought by this RFI.

1. Is the TRANSAS ES4 Keyboard/Trackball Assembly (new or refurbished) available for purchase?

2. If so, how many (new or refurbished) are available?

3. How long do you anticipate this equipment (new or refurbished) to be available for purchase?

4. Are repair services and parts available for the TRANSAS ES4 Keyboard/Trackball Assembly?

5. How long do you anticipate repair services and parts to be available?

6. What is the long-term plan for this equipment (beyond 5 years from now)?

7. Please provide the Name and Cage Code of your Company with responses to this RFI.

This RFI is for planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government/USCG, nor will the Government/USCG pay for information and/or items solicited. No basis for claim against the government/USCG shall arise as a result from a response to this RFI or Government use of any information provided.
