This project is for the replacement of the Visual Approach Slope Indicator (VASI) with a Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) System for Runway 14 at Pellston Regional Airport in Pellston, Michigan. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, and equipment to perform the project in accordance with the contract clauses, drawings, and specifications. The project work includes, but not limited to, the following: 1. Using registered land surveyor, field verify the location and elevation of the PAPI LHA’s. 2. Install concrete foundations for four PAPI LHA’s and for the PAPI equipment rack. 3. Install approximately 300 feet long power and control cables, in two 2� PVC conduit with a ground rod (every 90 feet) along the cable route, from PAPI rack to PAPI LHA. 4. Great Lake Energy (GLE) will bring primary power line to the site, install pad mounted transformer and a meter, FAA contractor will install a meter pedestal. 5. Install four PAPI LHA boxes. 6. Install crushed rock plot for the PAPI LHA site and for the equipment rack. 7. Install approximately 150 feet long and 12’ wide asphalt paved access road from Taxiway B2 to the PAPI equipment rack plot. 8. Remove existing VASI boxes and their screw anchor foundations and turn over to the SSC. 9. Restore and site cleanup. The performance time is 20 working days. Anticipated start date of project is May/June 2017. The estimated price range for this procurement is between $100,000 and $250,000.
