VGLZ 212018 Replace Lights in Building 825. The contractor shall schedule and perform a
construction task for the existing lighting fixtures in selected areas on the interior of
building 825 at the Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Harrison Twp. MI. The contractor
will provide a complete and operable LED lighting system retrofit at Building 825 reusing
existing lighting controls and occupancy sensors. The preplacement light fixtures will need
to consist of various types and sizes and shall be high efficiency LED type fixtures. The
design base of these lights shall be direct replacement of existing light fixtures. The project
shall include but is not limited to removing old light fixtures, properly disposing of old light
fixtures according to Selfridge Environmental Standards, installing new high efficiency
LED light fixtures, properly install all lighting controls and occupancy sensors. The work
will require some minor electrical wiring modifications.
The projects magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000.
This requirement is a 100% total set-aside for Small Business concerns. Offers from
other than Small Business concerns will not be considered. For Small Business

Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors. Construction will apply with the
Small Business Size Standard of $16.5 Million. This project will be awarded as a firmfixed
price contract.
The successful contractor will be chosen via Invitation for Bid procedures that result in the
best value to the Government. All information required for submission of an offer will be
identified in the solicitation. Solicitation W50S85-21-B-0014 information will be
advertised electronically on or about 2 August 2021  at https://beta.sam.gov/ with an
anticipated award date of 24 September 2021. All responsible sources may submit a
proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Award will be made to the responsible
bidder whose bid conforms to the invitation for bids and is most advantageous to the
Government considering only price and price related factors.

This synopsis of proposed contract action is for planning purposes only and does not
commit the Government to pay for any information, issue a solicitation, or award a
contract. The synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Any
costs incurred as a result of a response to this announcement shall be borne by the firm and
will not be charged to the Government for reimbursement. Paper copies will not be

will be considered. Contractors shall be fully qualified in all aspects of the requirements to
be considered. The Government contemplates a basic contract period tentatively
commencing on or about  21 September 2021 through 21 January 2021.
