This is a pre-solicitation notice.
The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Area (SEA) Research Unit located at Mississippi State, MS., has a requirement to Replace existing fan coil units. The work includes but is not limited to: The contractor shall demo existing fan coil units (approximately 33 units). Contractor to install new Trane fan coil units (or approved equal), new 2x2 drop vents for supply ventilation (approximately 20), and all new wiring and devices in-order to operate fan coil units, for the R.W. Harned Building #1 at ARS MS State. The contractor shall provide and install all new fan coil units and vents. Contractor to install new ceiling tiles around ceiling mounted units and vents with matching tiles. Paint around the floor mounted units. Contractor to install and hard wire all field devices to operate all new fan coil units. This Project is located within Bldg. #1 R.W. Harned Bldg., USDA-ARS MS State, 150 Twelve Lane, MS State, MS 39762.
The contractor will provide a turn-key product to include, but not limited to, all materials as specified, the proper demolition as specified, and the installation of all material as specified in the Statement of Work. This Project is located at the USDA ARS MS State Location, 150 Twelve Lane, MS State, MS 39762.
USDA ARS SEA intends to issue a Request for Proposals for a firm fixed priced contract. The solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238220 with a size standard of $16.5M. Contractors shall not directly contact the facility to discuss this requirement. During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity for a site visit and to ask any relevant questions.
This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute the Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government anticipates issuing an RFP for this requirement on about June 22, 2022. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for these services.
