This Solicitation is a Request for Quote, utilizing simplified acquisition procedures, for a firm fixed priced construction purchase order.
The USDA ARS requires that all labor, supervision, tools, and materials be provided to complete a construction project to remove the current air handling unit (designated ERU-1) and replace it with one that is similar in size, footprint, capacity, electrical connections, and other requirements at the USDA-ARS Sugarcane Field Station in Canal Point, FL. All work shall be performed in accordance with the terms, conditions, drawings and specifications contained in the solicitation documents.
A single organized site visit has been scheduled for Monday, March 15, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time.

Pre-registration to attend the site visit is required no later than 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time, Friday, March 12, 2021 by email notification to [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected]. Provide names of personnel to be in attendance.
For the site visit, we ask the following: The names of any visitors, and whether or not they are US citizens (if not, they should bring a passport).
We ask that they respond to the employee/visitor COVID site entry checklist (included as a separate attachment to the solicitation.) All visitors must wear a mask at all times indoors, or outdoors when within 6 feet of any other person.
Quotes must be received no later than 2: 00 p.m. CST, Wednesday, March 31, 2021.

Please include a detailed breakdown of price with various cost elements (e.g. materials, sub-costs, controllers, etc.) Additional quote instructions can be found in Section L. Performance and Payment bonds are required.
All questions pertaining to this solicitation, including questions that arise during the site visit, must be submitted to [email protected] by March 17, 2021, 4:00p.m. CST. Please reference the solicitation no. 12405B21Q0031 in all email subject lines. Questions that are not submitted in writing or that are not submitted by March 17, 2021 may not receive a response. Questions/answers discussed at the site visit will not be binding on the resultant contract unless submitted in writing and incorporated into the solicitation by amendment.
