This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Order to Epiroc USA, LLC, The requirement is for repair of a US Geological Survey (USGS) California Water Science Center, Sacramento, CA, owned Ingersoll Rand TH-75 Drill Rig, S/N 3573. To the knowledge of the USGS, Epiroc USA is the only source capable of meeting all the described requirements below. The repairs include: Troubleshoot and repair Ingersol Rand 350/900 air compressor; ISSUES: major leaks, does not engage properly, wont pressure up correctly, replace any worn or dangerous plumbing, change oil and filters. Modify IRTH75W control system ISSUES: continual problems with controls and operation of rig components FIX: eliminate electric over air controls and change to air over air controls, calibrate and test Change or add all filters, plumbing and valves needed. Check electrical controls on Cummins deck engine Repair and tuneup as needed New rod hook for main hoist line Review and inspect rig to determine further repairs needed. The purpose of this notice is to satisfy the requirements of FAR Subpart 5.2. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responsible parties may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. No solicitation will be issued.
