REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) Dated: 05NOV2018

This Request for Information is for planning and market research purposes only and does not commit the government to pay for the information requested, issue a solicitation, or award a contract.

A Request for Information is being conducted to identify firms interested in providing asphalt pavement repair for Northbound Phillips Parkway on Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (CCAFS), FL. The proposed contract would be a firm fixed price construction contract at CCAFS, FL. For the purposes of this contract, the anticipated contractor will provide all materials, labor, and equipment to mill and overlay approximately six (6) miles, 129,500 SY of asphalt pavement roadway at CCAFS, FL to include but not limited to traffic control through work zones, restoration of traffic light loop conductors destroyed and taken out of service by the milling process, installation of new traffic and street signs, repair of grass shoulders with excavation and sod installation, and application of pavement traffic markings in accordance with MUTCD. The anticipated contractor will be required to conduct material acceptance testing on a daily basis; construct a test section in accordance with project specifications; and submit a plan and schedule, and conduct Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) in accordance with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 237310, size standard is $36.5M.
