Project Description:
The scope of this project includes stabilization of the Kennecott Mines National Historic Landmark Mill Building, a fourteen story timber frame structure. The work includes soil stabilization and site drainage improvements, wood and concrete foundation work, selective replacement of deteriorated heavy timber wood columns, beams and floor structures, installation of horizontal siding, accurate reconstruction of the walls, roof and window openings on a portion of the building, and the partial demolition and reconstruction of a timber feature on the exterior of the building called the high grade ore chute.
The building is situated on a steep slope with limited access requiring scaffolding. Known hazardous materials have been found on site and in the existing materials.

2. Experience with projects requiring extensive scaffolding, shoring, and rigging.
