This solicitation is for a new Stand Alone Construction Contract to repair the Communications Facility at Hanscom AFB. All work will be done IAW the SOW dated 27 April 2021, which is included in the attachments section of this posting. The work to be performed is under North American Classification System (NAICS) 236220 with the size standard of $39.5M. This will be 100% Small Business Set-Aside with competition restricted to Small Businesses with their headquarters located within a 100 mile radius of the Hanscom AFB Civil Engineering office located at 120 Grenier St, Hanscom AFB, MA 01731. 

The general scope of the prospective contract is for the contractors to provide new, redundant cooling capacity to critical communications equipment house as well as upgrade the building and incidental related work to meet required life safety and accessibility code requirements. All work will be performed at the Communications Facility at Hanscom AFB.

Bids are due between 10:00AM EDT and 12:00 PM EDT on 23 September 2021. A site visit will take place on 14 September 2021-details to follow for all inquiries requesting access to the site-please contact the CO and Buyer below for interest in attending. Questions regarding this IFB are due NLT 430PM EDT on 16 September 2021. Answers to questions will be posted 2 days after questions are due. Please also submit an electronic copy of your bid right before bids are hand delivered.

Funds are not presently available for this project. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs. 

BID OPENING: Bid opening shall take place in Building 1604 at Hanscom AFB, MA in the 1st floor conference room on 23 September 2021 at 2:00PM EDT. Contractors WILL NOT be permitted to attend bid opening; a Government Zoom Call will be organized for the Bid Opening and the Call-In information will be available with IFB on Beta.SAM no later than 3 days prior to bid opening.
