The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services intends to award on a sole source basis, under Simplified Acquisition (threshold of $100,000) a renewal of license for Medispan to WoltersKluwer Health, Inc. 77 Westport Plaza Drive, Suite 450, Saint Louis, MO 63146-3098. Under the authority of FAR 6.301-1 10 U.S.C. 2304 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. The Master Drug Data Base (MDDB) of National Drug Codes (NDC) drug codes and data information for electronic delivery to CMS on a daily basis with weekly master file distribution to Medi-Span. The contractor shall provide four users licenses for data and standards for us by appropriate CMS staff and associated contractor performing work within the scope of the Medicare Modernization Act of 2003. An enterprise wide user license is preferred. If this is not possible, please provide a schedule of pricing form multiple licenses. The contractor must be able to communicate with CMS via a secure FTP connection, the Secure FTP should be performed using the Sterling Commerce S/FTP Client, the transmission of the initial file may be designated to use a media other than S/FTP, such as a CD, and the Contractor shall provide record count for each transmitted file. The contractor shall provide a description and diagram of the audit trail procedures and documentation retained to ensure the integrity of the data provided. The contractor shall research questions identified by CMS about the data received. A response shall be provided to CMS within one business day. All responsible sources may submit capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency in accordance with the requirements in the synopsis. The period of performance is one year base.
