The United States Government Printing Office (GPO) intends to issue a sole source contract to redesign GPOâs cafeteria to Savoy and Brown located at 8610 Washington Blvd, Suite 200, Jessup, MD 20794. The contractor will inventory and assess existing equipment and determine if any of the existing equipment can be integrated into the new design. The contractor will also recommend new equipment, develop a preliminary design/construction document 15 days after receipt of an award, and ensure GPO is in compliance with all applicable Health Department regulations. The design will include utilization of the existing space for preparing food, serving and dining. The contractor has experience in designing and redesigning cafeteria and kitchen facilities including for food preparation, cooking line-up, bakery, ventilation (if applicable), refrigeration, clean up, storage (food and beverage), receiving & holding areas, services areas, cafeteria stations, and beverage areas. GPO views its cafeteria, catering and vending services program as a significant employee benefit serving approximately 2,500 employees daily. Also, GPOâs Management goals include raising the quality of work life for employees. For these reasons, the redesign and renovation of the cafeteria and kitchen is essential. GPO has surveyed the market and determined that the only vendor that can provide all the governmentâs stated requirements is Savoy & Brown, located at 8610 Washington Blvd, Suite 200, Jessup, MD 20794.
