Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source

The Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA), Camp Pendleton, CA intends to issue a sole source contract to Meggitt Sensing Systems located in Irvine,  CA  92606 under authority of FAR 6.302-1(a) (1), "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements - Follow-on Contract." 

The Government intends to procure following line items on a sole source contract:

Line Item 0001: Part Number: REDCOM BUNDLE (3 each), Description: Component Package, Custom Configured for this Application, Upgrade a DTC classroom HDX switch from V3.0A to V4.0Ar3p8 and includes the following features: DHCP, DNS, IPv6, Percentage trunking, Secure TCP, Secure VolP SNMP, AS-SIP.  These upgrades cover the following HDX Controller and MSC boards. HDX Controller Serial Numbers: 070623571-8, 070923813-9, 072024509-6, 072324712-4, 074125832-4, 082327362-1. MSC board Serial Numbers:  114631393-0, 114631393-1, 114631393-2, 114631393-3. Each REDCOM bundle includes Line Items 0002 thru 0003.  

Line Item 0002: Part Number: HDX Upgrade (1 each), Description: Software Upgrade, REDCOM High Density Exchange.

Line Item 0003: Part Number: AS-SIP (1 each), Description: Assured Services Session Initiation Protocol. 

This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation.  However, all quotes received will be considered by the Government.  All interested sources must respond in writing with clear and convincing evidence to support their ability to provide timely and effective services.  A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. 

If no affirmative written response is received within four (4) days after publication of this notice, a sole source contract to Meggitt Sensing Systems will be issued.
