THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) PROCUREMENT RECOVERY- WATERSHED RESTORATION ON UPPER GRANDE RONDE RIVER. WALLOWA-WHITMAN NF, UNION COUNTY, OREGON. The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a solicitation numbered AG-0489-S-10-0275 on or about March 1, 2010, for the RECOVERY Watershed Restoration on Upper Grande Ronde River. If the solicitation is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective bidders should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after March 1, 2010, to obtain a copy of the solicitation. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201. However, the Forest Service reserves the right not to release a solicitation. PROJECT DESCRIPTION. The U.S. Forest Service, EROC-NW, servicing Region 6 has a requirement for WATERSHED RESTORATION ON UPPER GRANDE RONDE RIVER. This contract requires removing, hauling, unloading and placement of logs, boulders, and cut trees. Movement of over 225 logs/trees and 425 boulders are for placement in varying locations throughout the Upper Grande Ronde River. The contractor shall supply all services, labor, equipment and material, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals except those items, if any, listed as Government-furnished property needed to perform the following: Watershed Restoration on Upper Grande Ronde River in compliance with its terms, specifications, and provisions. The Government intends to award a negotiated firm fixed price contract. PROJECT LOCATION – The trees and toot wads, boulders and small cut trees will be hauled to the Upper Grande Ronde Mine Tailings Restoration Project area (T 6S, R 36E, S 4, 5, 9, 10, & 15) and to a staging site within the Starkey Experimental Forest (T 6S, R 36E, S, 2 NW1/4). A map is in the upcoming solicitation. PARTICIPATION. This acquisition is a Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Classification System Code (NAICS) is 561730. The size standard is $7 Million.
