The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) has a requirement to procure a Microplate Spectrofluorometer for high sensitivity measurements in fluorescence, luminescence and absorbance-based assays. This reader is for cellular and molecular binding studies, for enzymatic assays and kinetic studies, and for protein and nucleic acid qualification. This is a total small business set-aside. The microplate spectrofluorometer system shall have the following: 1) Monochromator based fluorescence 2) Filter based fluorescence 3) Absorbance, luminescence, and dual injectors 4) Modularity and upgradability of components 5) Compatibility with 1536 well plates 6) GEN5 software The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code 334516 with a size standard of 500 employees. Vendors that are capable of providing the Government with the equipment described above may request a copy of the Request for Quote (RFQ) in writing or by FAX to 301-480-8844 to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. It is anticipated that RFQ NIH-NICHD- RECOVERY-10-06-1 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ.
